Shipping Policy

Thank you for visiting and shopping with Rabbit & The Oak at rabbitandtheoak.com. Following are the terms and conditions that constitute our Shipping Policy.

We currently offer shipping upon request and to the lower 48 states within the USA. If you reside in Canada, Alaska or Hawaii, you will need to Contact Us separately to arrange an exception & receive a quote. We will then work with you to determine if shipping to your location is feasible and provide the associated costs.

​

When we do arrange shipping for customers, we partner with third-party shipping companies to fulfill and ship orders directly to your preferred address. We can ship to residential and business addresses.

 

Domestic Furniture Shipping Policy

 

Shipment processing time

Once shipping dates and costs are agreed upon by the customer, all orders are secured and processed by Rabbit & The Oak directly with the shipping company within 5-7 business days but can take up to 1-2 weeks. It might take longer to fulfill the order based on the selected shipping company’s schedule.

Orders are not typically shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays.

​

If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed. Please also allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there is a significant delay in the shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.

If you require the piece of furniture prior to a particular date, please Contact Us before purchasing your order. We will do our best to work with you and the shipping company to fulfill your request.

Furniture Shipping Options

We work with third-party shipping companies to offer the following furniture shipping options:

  1. White Glove Shipping – usually includes placement of the purchased piece of furniture directly into your home or office within the first floor. This option is typically more expensive but offers a level of convenience.

  2. Freight Shipping – this involves freight packaging and delivery to a location but offers no assistance in bringing the furniture into the residence or business. This option is typically less expensive.

 

Shipping rates & delivery estimates

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and provided to you for review and agreement. If you agree to the charges, we will book the shipment and secure your order.

Shipping costs will vary by the size, weight, timing and distance shipped. Larger, heavier items will be more expensive as a result.

We work with third party shipping companies and typically obtain at least three quotes to ship the item you are interested in to obtain the best price, with the most appropriate company to handle the shipment.

* Overnight delivery is typically not available for furniture orders but might be available for Home Décor items. Overnight requests should be sent directly to: tracy@rabbitandtheoak.com or through our Contact Us form within the website (www.rabbitandtheoak.com).

Delivery delays can occasionally occur. When they do, we will do our best to notify you and work with the shipping carriers to expedite any delays as they occur, within the best of our ability.

 

Domestic Home Décor Shipping Policy

Once shipping dates and costs are agreed upon by the customer, all orders are secured and processed by Rabbit & The Oak within 5-7 business days but can take up to 1-2 weeks. If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, we will do our best to notify you.

If you require the piece of Home Décor prior to a particular date, please Contact Us before purchasing your order. We will do our best to work with you and the shipping carrier to accommodate your request.

Home Décor shipments also vary by size, weight, timing and distance shipped but are sent via regular USPS or UPS standards with various delivery options. (e.g. Standard, Express, etc.) 

 

Shipment confirmation & Order tracking

You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped. Depending on the shipping company used, if available, you will also receive confirmation of your tracking number(s). When available, the tracking numbers are usually active within 24 hours.

 

Customs, Duties and Taxes

Rabbit & The Oak is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).

 

Damages

Rabbit & The Oak is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim. We work with shipping carriers or shipping aggregators that carry appropriate levels of liability insurance and who assumes responsibility for any damages during transit.

Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.

 

International Shipping Policy

We currently do not ship outside the U.S. However, if requesting shipment to Canada, please Contact Us directly to determine feasibility.

 

Local Pickup

Local pickup from our home workshop in Ridgefield, CT is 100% FREE and simply requires an appointment.

Local Furniture Delivery

We also offer Local Furniture Delivery to anywhere within a 25 mile radius of our home workshop in Ridgefield, CT 06877.

  • There is a $25.00 fee associated with local deliveries <5 miles;

  • There is a $49.99 fee associated with deliveries between 5 and 15 miles;

  • And a $74.99 fee for deliveries between 15-25 miles.

If, for any reason, You are not completely satisfied with a purchase We invite You to review our policy on refunds and returns.

Your Order Cancellation Rights

You are entitled to cancel Your Order within 14 days without giving any reason for doing so.

The deadline for cancelling an Order is 14 days from the date on which You received the Goods or on which a third party you have appointed, who is not the carrier, takes possession of the product delivered.

In order to exercise Your right of cancellation, You must inform Us of your decision by means of a clear statement. You can inform us of your decision by:

We will reimburse You no later than 14 days from the day on which We receive the returned Goods. We will use the same means of payment as You used for the Order, and You will not incur any fees for such reimbursement.

Conditions for Returns

In order for the Goods to be eligible for a return, please make sure that:

  • The Goods were purchased in the last 14 days

  • The Goods are in the original packaging

  • The Goods were not used or damaged

  • You have the receipt or proof of purchase

The following Goods cannot be returned:

  • The supply of Goods made to Your specifications or clearly personalized.

  • The supply of Goods which according to their nature are not suitable to be returned, deteriorate rapidly or where the date of expiry is over.

  • The supply of Goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons and were unsealed after delivery.

  • The supply of Goods which are, after delivery, according to their nature, inseparably mixed with other items.

We reserve the right to refuse returns of any merchandise that does not meet the above return conditions in our sole discretion.

Returning Goods

You are responsible for the cost and risk of returning the Goods to Us. You should send the Goods at the following address:

We cannot be held responsible for Goods damaged or lost in return shipment. Therefore, We recommend an insured and trackable mail service. We are unable to issue a refund without actual receipt of the Goods or proof of received return delivery.

Exchanges

If you need to exchange a product for the same one, contact us. Please note that We only replace Goods you received defective or damaged.

Gifts

If the Goods were marked as a gift when purchased and then shipped directly to you, You'll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned product is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to You.

If the Goods weren't marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the Order shipped to themselves to give it to You later, We will send the refund to the gift giver.
