11 Levels Road

Service Description

This intro to furniture painting class will teach you the essential basics of painting furniture with chalk paint. Join us in this small group session with an instructional demonstration and hands on guidance from Tracy as you paint. Consider this a practice session to help you gain skill and confidence. My goal is that you will leave this class confident to tackle that next project, either in the Rabbit and The Oak studio or your own home. You may paint your own piece (PYOP) or chose one from our inventory. POYP - Bring anything you can carry in one hand/transport in the passenger seat of your car.  If you are new to furniture painting I suggest you don’t start with your favorite grandmas’ side table! Bring something you are comfortable practicing with. Yes, you will leave here with a finished piece that you should be proud of to display in your home. However, there’s a lot to learn and you WILL grow and improve with practice, so save those special pieces for next time. Our Inventory - To choose from our inventory, simply go to the store section, click on “Inventory for Intro Workshops” and purchase the piece you’d like to paint during the workshop you signed up for. I will have it ready for you when you arrive for your class. NOTE - furniture from our inventory is not included in the cost of the workshop. Paint, wax and brushes will be provided for you to complete this class. Brushes and remaining materials must be cleaned and returned before you leave. You may purchase additional materials from the store at a 10% discount at the end of your class.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation: You may cancel without penalty up to 24 hours before the start of your workshop. If you are unable to cancel within 24 hours, you may request a refund for 50% of the cost of the class. If you request a custom color and cancel after 24 hours, your refund will be 30% of the cost of the class. Waitlist: Materials: The required materials for each workshop/class will be provided and included in the cost of the workshop/class, with the exception of furniture. I make every effort to stock all available standard paint and wax colors so they are available for you to choose from at the start of your class. There is an up-charge if you would like to use a custom color on your piece and advance notice is necessary so the paint can be mixed for you before the class. What to wear: Painting smocks will be available for you to use during your workshop however, I strongly recommend you wear your “painting shoes and clothing” as there is always a chance of spills and accidents.
